My local printer came across the other day handing me out a little flyer to promote a new printing process they installed at their factory. They call Enhance and it looks very similar to a UV varnish.

This finishing process is an aqueous coating, in other words a water based varnish which can be applied in-line on the printing press. This makes this alternative to other varnishes (OPVs) more cost and speed effective, because applied during the printing process, and more sustainable as it is water based.
